The objective of the Timelife project was to create a multi-page redesign of an existing book. To create a flexible, fluid system that allows for both visual spontaneity and cohesive structure. To create a new, modern series for an outdated classic. The Forest is a place of solitude and exudes a sense of serenity. When presented with the opportunity to redesign The Forest Time Life book, I approached the project with these words in mind. I focused on combining vintage Victorian illustrations with crisp, monochromatic images for a contrasting aesthetic. The color palette is meant to entice the reader and capture the hues of the forest within the pages of the narrative. The two column grid reflects the tall, stocky trees of the woods and emulates it’s longevity. View the book page by page at:
